3 Strategies To Get Organised NOW

If you feel like one minute everything is flowing smoothly and you are 100% sure you have aced adulting and then all of a sudden, you are turning everything upside down to find that piece of paper that you wrote an important note on a few weeks ago, this may be a turning point. Having battled the war we all must face of having everything organised , here are three strategies to boost your organization that actually worked for me.

  1. Decide on a morning routine to set the tone for the day, including moment for reflection, prayer, gratitude, meditation etc. This can also include a pre-prep the night before; organise your necessities for morning coffee, tea or breakfast, prep whatever clothes you will need etc. This is one of the most important of the 3 strategies to get organised.
  2. Write EVERYTHING down. You can use your phone, or if you are like me, a good old notebook. Having separate books for different areas of life helps too. Getting organised may seem a bit overwhelming, but when everything has its own place ,it becomes easier. Some examples of areas I have assigned books to include broadcasting, acting, company, clients, personal, finance, home etc.
  3. Your final strategy to get organised now. PLAN YOUR DAY. Choose your most challenging tasks first. But don’t overload yourself, if that happens you may end up back in the same position you were in before you read this post. Allow yourself to choose, either do 1, 2 or 3 of the challenging tasks, or break them up into assigned times and stick to them.
